Lynne M. Rheaume, LMT, CSAMT: Born and raised in Pawtucket, RI Lynne graduated from William E. Tolman High School in 1981. She sought an adventure that would take her places where she never imagined. Joining the United States Navy in 1984 at the age of 21, she enlisted as a Seaman Recruit (E1) and 26 years later, (Dec, 2010), retired as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman (E8). Lynne’s military experience and hands-on-training in the Health Care Field with specialized schooling and training as a Hospital Corpsman (Medical Assistant), Physical Therapy Specialist and Orthopedic Technician has earned her respect as a leader and Instructor at the Salter School in Fall River and as a Bone Builders of RI Exercise Instructor at the Smithfield Senior Center. In 1997, Lynne continued her studies at the University of West Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Science and Health. After retiring in 2010, Lynne decided to continue to follow her passion in helping and healing humans and animals by becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist through training at the Salter School, Fall River, MA and Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist through Bancroft School of Small Animal Massage, Worcester, MA. In May 2015, Lynne decided that she wanted to do more to help the elderly population in maintaining their strength/stability through weight bearing exercises; therefore she became a Certified Exercise Leader for Bone Builders of RI and leads group exercise with an emphasis on proper exercise techniques at the Smithfield Senior Center, Smithfield, RI. An advocate of sharing her knowledge and giving back to the community, Lynne spends her leisure time volunteering as a Facilitator for Vets N Pets, a venue for Veterans to express their feelings and rid their sorrows through expressive art and animal therapy. At the Bristol Animal shelter, Lynne volunteers her time cleaning and teaching classes in Animal Massage, First Aid, CPR and more. Lynne’s knowledge and love for teaching, world-wide experience, organizational skills, structure, leadership, enthusiasm and positive energy has definitely made a huge impact on the personal and professional growth and development of all.
